Project Team Releases Request for Proposals for a Retail Leasing Consultant

The project team has recently issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a Retail Leasing Consultant to assist the team with procuring retailers for the ground-floor space at the Dudley Sq. Municipal Center.

The RFP was issued on June 3, 2013, and responses are due on June 19th. Services required of the Retail Leasing Consultant would include:

  • Advertising the opportunity in the local market to potential retailers
  • Recruiting candidates to submit proposals to the project team
  • Assist the project team with creating a Request for Proposals from interested tenants
  • Advising the project team on evaluation of proposals from retailers

The City of Boston, acting through the Property and Construction Management Department, (“the City”), is requesting proposals from qualified retail leasing firms to provide consultant services in connection with the Dudley Square Municipal Office Facility Project in the Roxbury District of the City of Boston. The specific property is located at 2262 Washington Street and is presently under construction. Once completed, the property will be a seven-story municipal building with city offices and retail space
The scope of work is more particularly described in the RFP, and includes advising the City on the leasing of retail space, developing an RFP for tenant retail opportunities, marketing retail spaces, recruiting tenants/retailers and evaluating proposals.
The RFP package will be available beginning Monday, June 3, 2013 at the Bid Counter, 26 Court Street, 10th Floor, Boston, MA 02108 to all interested parties.
Completed proposals must be submitted directly to the Bid Counter, at 26 Court Street, 10th Floor, Boston, MA 02108 in accordance with the instructions in the RFP application package no later than 2:00 PM on June 19, 2013. LATE PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
The contract will begin in July 2013 and continue through February 2014, with the City’s sole option to renew the contract for up to 16 months, subject to the availability of an appropriation. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, or parts thereof, if it is in the public interest to do so.
