Building on its efforts at the recently completed Area B-2 Police Station development project, the City of Boston continues striving to provide job opportunities for local residents, minorities, and women.
The first of several meetings to assist those interested in construction trades will be held at the Central Boston Elder Services Community Room this Thursday, October 27th, at 5:30 p.m.
The meeting will feature information about the project schedule and training and skills required in order to be employed on City construction projects. There will be handouts and knowledgeable people available to answer questions and provide guidance for individuals and small firms that are interested in learning more about opportunities on City of Boston projects.
In addition to meetings and upcoming workshops, the City will continue with its practice of having a community liaison near the project site to answer questions and receive information from interested applicants for construction work. Details will be available as the project proceeds.
Central Boston Elder Services is located at 2315 Washington Street, in Roxbury.
